Merkle Standard Chosen as Launch Customer, Orders 4,449 of Newest BITMAIN 188 TH/S S19 + “Hydro” Mining Rigs

PRESS RELEASE. (Irvine, February 9, 2022) – Sustainable Bitcoin mining company Merkle Standard has executed a purchase order for the high-performance, liquid-cooled mining rigs from Bitmain Technologies Ltd. The leading ASIC hardware provider will supply 4,449 of new S19 Pro + Hydro machines to Merkle Standard in May 2022 and is expected to be one of the first deployments of BITMAIN’s hydro cooling technology within the US. This purchase agreement will add approximately ~840 PH/s to Merkle Standard’s nameplate hashrate.

The mining rigs are equipped with BITMAIN’s latest liquid cooling technology delivering a hashrate of 188 TH/s, nearly double that of the S19 J Pro. The rigs boast an expected power efficiency of 27.5 J/TH, reflecting the advanced liquid cooling technology. The announced order constitutes a significant increase in the capacity and performance capability of Merkle Standard’s mining operations.

The new purchase is scheduled for delivery in May 2022 and will be deployed at Merkle Standard’s 225 MW data center in Eastern Washington. This flagship location paired with BITMAIN’s technology is central to the company’s plan of becoming one of the industry’s most efficient and sustainable miners.
